SaLa is Arabic for ‘Entertainment’.
SaLa is a monthly magazine in Arabic, addressed to university students. It disseminates essential information to its young readership in an entertaining fashion.

SaLa goes beyond issues related to university and college life, covering a wide range of topics and catering for the preferences of a large segment of students. In other words, SaLa has opened the floor to students, allowing them to express their opinions, creative ideas and exceptional talents.

SaLa’s uniqueness is the outcome of many features. However, three facts stand.
 

  1. SaLa is the first pan-Arab university magazine. It is distributed at Universities in the UAE, Kuwait, Lebanon and Syria.
     

  2. SaLa is of very high print quality. At the same time it is distributed for FREE. This has helped us build up a strong student readership.
     

  3. SaLa’s coverage conforms to international standards. To maintain our high-quality journalism, SaLa’s staff undergoes monthly training sessions on modern journalistic techniques. Even a cursory look at the magazine reveals its striking features: a predominant strategy of “info-tainment”, a youthful language and a prevalence of artistic photography.

Editorial Team

The editorial team of SaLa is made up of a group of young professional journalists along with a number of distinguished university students. In addition to its staff and freelancers (consisting of students), university correspondents. The combined technical knowledge of our editorial team is far greater than those of our competitors.

Circulation & Distribution

SaLa is directly distributed to students for FREE on campus* (mostly in High Wooden stands).12 000 copies are printed and distributed in UAE Universities. The readership would be between 30 000 readers per month, since every copy is viewed by an average of 2 to 2.5 students

Readership & Target Group

University and College students, with their diversity and different preferences, make up an interesting target group for the majority, if not all, of existing companies.
The age group in universities and colleges ranges between 17 and 27 years (+/-)which could be translated to a wider purchasing capacity. Needless to say, universities and colleges also encompass other age groups within their staff.
